Attendance

If your young person is going to be absent from school, you must contact CLF Post 16 on EACH DAY that they are absent. All absences are classified as unauthorised until an acceptable reason is given and has been confirmed by the parent/carer.

Tel: 0117 992 7117

Email [email protected]

Unauthorised absence from a lesson will result in a text message being sent to you to inform you that your young person has not been registered for their lesson.

Absence can affect the references that a student is given at the end of their study programme at CLF Post 16 and poor attendance may affect any bursary they are awarded.

Planned Absences

It is expected that all students achieve 96% attendance per week. All planned absences (medical appointments, driving lessons, etc.) must be scheduled outside timetabled learning sessions.

Holidays must be taken in the designated holiday periods, and holidays will not an be authorised during term time.

Please complete the CLF Post 16 Absence form for exceptional circumstances, and hand it in at your Home Academy for approval prior to taking leave.
